Your Cuddles POS terminal arrives configured for your business and ready to connect to Cuddles.
Set Up Your Terminal
Unpack and plug in your terminal.
Connect the power cord to the terminal and an electrical outlet.
Turn on the terminal.
Press the power button and allow a few minutes for the terminal to start up. Once ready, you’ll see the Cuddles welcome screen.
If the terminal does not turn on, allow it to charge for a few minutes, disconnect it from the power cord, and try again.
Connect to Wi-Fi.
From the terminal:
Select Settings.
Enter the passcode CATS (2287).
Select Wi-Fi.
Choose your network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
Once connected, select the back button.
Confirm your store information.
From Settings, select Device Info and scroll to Store Address to confirm the terminal is assigned to the correct location.
Return to the Home screen.
Select the circle Home button. You should see the Cuddles screen, indicating that your terminal is ready to use.
Test Your Terminal
We recommend processing a small test transaction before using your terminal with clients.
In Cuddles, select Payments from the left-side menu.
Click + New Sale.
Search for and select a client. You can create a client profile for yourself for testing purposes.
Add a Custom Item for $1.
Click Pay and select POS as the payment method.
Complete the payment on your POS terminal.
Once successful, the transaction will appear in the Transactions section of your Payments dashboard.
Note: The CuddlesPay dashboard is only available to staff with the Owner or Manager role.
Use Your POS Without Wi-Fi
Your POS terminal includes an internal SIM that can provide an internet connection when Wi-Fi is unavailable.
To switch from Wi-Fi to the terminal’s cellular connection:
Open Settings on the POS terminal.
Select Network or Connectivity.
Select Wi-Fi.
Toggle Wi-Fi Off.
The terminal can then use its internal SIM for connectivity.
To reconnect to Wi-Fi, return to the Wi-Fi settings and toggle Wi-Fi back On.
